Client: City of The Hague
Question: Design, tender and guidance of the implementation of the biological in-situ remediation of the J. Gillesstraat in The Hague
Work done: Development and design of a alternative approach to the remediation of CVOCs. Planning, design, modelling, selection of contractor, preparation of the remediation and guidance of the execution.
Results: The work on the location has started in february 2015.
First, the remediationsystem was installed. Then, the first round of bacterial augmentation was done. In the next two years several rounds of augmentations will follow. The expectation is that the soil is stimulated in such a way that the pollution in the core is greatly reduced by biological degradation.
